Simple guidelines to maintain your silk
Cleaning
Dry-clean only for silk and zari sarees. Do not hand-wash or spot-clean. Keep perfumes and sprays away from the fabric to prevent stains.
Drying & Ironing
Air your saree in the shade. Never expose it to direct sunlight, which fades dyes and damages zari. Iron on the reverse side on low heat, placing a cotton cloth over the silk.
Storage
Store in a cotton or muslin cloth so the fabric can breathe. Do not use plastic bags. Refold along different lines every few months to avoid permanent creases. Keep away from moisture.
